I need some help with some pictures showing the installation of the M-2300-K brake installation. The pictures and instructions that came with my kit are terrible. I did a search and found a post but the pictures wouldn't show up. If any one has some good detailed photo's that would really help. If anyone has a picture of the rear caliper brackets & how they should be correctly installed that would be of additional help. OldGuy668 I know I've read that you did this installation and that you are pretty knowledgeable about this topic. Any pictures or insight from anyone would be great.

You really don't need much in the way of pictures. The calipers only go on one way, and the soft lines are assymetrical also. Axles are iffy depending upon your wheel choice. Email me for my phone number and I'll walk you through the whole scenario. If you want a rundown on what you can and cannot use fron the kit, I'll be happy to tell you what I know. Maybe if enough of us buy the kit from Ford, they can afford better instructions.

Thanks Oldguy668,
I had someone (fang bit) email me some pictures of his brakes and that will help some. I may however take you up on getting your phone#. I will email you to get it if I have problems.
Thanks again,
Todd

Old Guy (and others) I would like to convert my 8.8" rear from drums to discs. Is the M2300K the best way to go? I already have 5 lug axles installed (with 5-lug drums of course) and the brakes work well. I just want the discs some day. Will this alter my backspacing?

Thanks for the help.

I think there are better ways to accomplish the changeover. We who bought the M2300K did so because we were doing no-donor builds and we got an entire system including spindles and hubs. I think Richard Oben has most of the stuff you need to do rears only at a much lower cost. Check with him and maybe Mike Forte.

Happy motoring
