Fuel pump had began making loud clicking niose,car stalling.Replaced pump,fuel filter,filled fuel tank.Same symptoms.Any suggestons?

If it is an EFI system, you may try replacing the fuel pump relay.

Internal or External pump?

Make sure you have a filter between the pickup tube and the pump. This will eliminate crud from getting into your pump and destroying it.

What brand fuel pump are you running? What type filter and where is it, before or after the fuel pump?

Sound's like a bad ground to me.

External puralator pump with filter between it and carb.Will try filter between pump and tank.Will pump pull fuel with filter located back there? Thanks.

Hi,
I always like the mechanical fuel pump. It only runs with the engine. No wiring, relays, noise and are very reliable, not to mention safe! If you need to change to mechanical I have front covers for 302-351 & 429-460 in stock.
