I'm looking for a part# and a name of a solenoid that connects to a 2pin connector, one of the pins in the connector is horizonal and the other vertical, its located near the diagnostic test port.
I thought it was the egr vaccum control solenoid, but when went to the dealer to purchase one the connector wasn't the same.
Any ideas?

What year is the harness? What wire colors are in the connector? The test port and the EGR solenoids were, if I remember correctly, on opposite sides of the engine compartment. Could it be for the air bag system or anti-lock brakes?

One wire is green and the other is red. If I remember it is a 1990 wiring harness. All of the air bag and anti-lock brake wiring is removed.
The diagnostic port is for the engine codes.

The connector was orignally located on the pass side of the mustang between the firewall and the strut tower. I'm going to look though a computer data base from mitchell today. Hope I can find it.
