In a rush to get the fan mounted I slipped with the super high speed air drill and went right through my knuckle with an 1/8 inch drill bit today. Hurt like a bitch, had to get x-raay's to make sure that the bone was alright and a nice splint to let it heal correctly.

PLEASE PLEASE dont be in a rush with tools, if I was just a little more careful and less anxious to get the car running, I would not be in this situation.

Now I feel like the butcher, andy dunn!!! hahahahahaha.

As if some tasks are not hard enough, now you get to try them with a splint! Yuck... :(

You shoulda just stuck a rivet in there and kept on going! ;)

Seriously though, been there, done that. I drilled through my middle finger while holding two pieces of aluminum tight together. The bit stopped right before it came through the fingernail on the other side! Those deep wounds hurt for a LONG time!

Just don't get your thigh too close to an air-nailer. One of the guys who built my house shot a 16 penny nail right into the bone. Pulled it out and went back to work. Man that must have hurt.

It really did not hurt that much till this morning, but the actual sight of a drill but in my finger was horrible. Oh well, out to work on the car and take it for a drive. Even with this kindof setback, I got it started for the first time.

Aaron-

I did something similar with a table saw while building a cabinet. I wasn't paying attention and put my thumb on the wood where it went over the blade (tungsten carbide). Luckily, the blade wasn't up too far, but it sure made a mess on the wood.

Happily, I didn't lose the thumb.

Busa*Vinny, was your grandfather also featured on one of those ER type of shows (discovery channel or TLC)??? Sounds just like a guy who they had on last year...
"sir, are these your fingers?"
"yes"
"what happened to the others on the same hand?"
"I cut those off years ago the same way"
"maybe you should take up another hobby..."

And who was the poor guy that tried to use a pair of needle nose pliers to connect his brake cables and ended up with them stuck in his head when the cable poped loose? Come on now, fess up. I hate to admit it but I LMFAO about that one.

Tip number 2,345 don't use Needle Nose pliers to connect E-brake cables!
