Rainbow was a popular kids TV show in England in the late 70's. I was well into my 20's by then but as you will see it always had something for adults as well as the young 'uns. I don't remember seeing this particular show but I'm glad it was caught on tape. This is a doozy.

BTW, don't try this on dial up.

Mike,
I'm on dial-up right now, so I'll have to check it out at work. But on that subject, we let Joshua watch Sesame Street now. He's too young to understand anything, but he likes looking at the characters. I never realized how much subtle adult humor they put in the show. Guess you gotta keep the parents entertained. But a few weeks into it, and I'm already wanting to strangle Elmo.

You wouldn't, it's a 'Christmas Clip', written by Ray Skelton (Zippy) and recorded by the production team for their own amusement.

The script's here for the bandwidth challenged (possibly NSFW)
