One Boig Motorsports upper radiator cool tube installed and Billet Specialties Radiator Cap. Thanks to the one that recommend it and all that gave advise.

I love it. I may switch to shinny rubber hose and some flashy hardware eventually. Lol

If anyone knows my you would not associate flashy with me. I guess it all came to light on the engine. Ha!

Also today after Jeff's K comments on the trunk supports. I realized I FFR gave me a different set of hinges to put on that supported the supports. (LoL)

All I had time for today was to switch the hinges out. You can see the difference and why I was confused.

It has been over a month since I updated this. I have not been making too much progress.

1. Trunk Air Struts -. I had to remove the original hinges and replace them with the ones that accommodate the air struts. No issues once I figured that out.

2. Installed Koolmat - This had many issues. All my fault. But it's mostly done just touch ups.

3. With help from the forum I figured out where my oil leak was coming from.

4. Put 30 test miles going around the neighborhood.

Where did the leak end up coming from? Intake?

Behind the intake manifold. Where the manifold and engine block meet. Or the China wall as I learned.

I did not seal it properly when I installed the manifold.

I was able to seal up the joints on the Koolmat. All my improfections I was able to correct with the silicon.

When that settles I will put some black paint in the joints and I will be ready for the carpet.

I assume if I run out of the supplied silicon, which is not your typical hardware store silicon, I can finish up with any 100% silicon?

Now for something fun. I needed a front license plate holder for Illinios inspection, if and when that ever happens. It came in the mail today.

I also wanted to add some character to the gel coat so I got some static decals.

Tomorrow Carpet

Hi Jason, I'm thinking your license frame might be mounted wrong side out. If you swap your quick jacks side for side it will mount on the outside of the quick jack below the driver side turn signal

Oh ok. Well I like my jacks that way. But I will but the frame behind the jack and to the out side.

Thank you.

Carpet. Not too many issues. Looks good to me. I did get some silicone on the carpet. I figure I can brush most of it out when it dries.

One more step to taking her to Jeff K. this fall/winter.

Congrats, man! Hard to tell from the picture angle, but make sure your accel pedal doesn't bind on that carpet. :)

love that shift knob, is that the breeze one?
You reminded me that I wanted to buy the black one too! A couple months ago Mark said his supplier was not working or making them anymore so what was left was all he had.

He still had one black one. I just ordered it awesome 👍

Trunk carpet and access panels.

I thought about how I was going going to incorporate the access panels. Chewy was kind and told me he left his showing. I liked that much better than trying to cover them.

Thanks Chewy.

Next time

Seatbelts and interior trim.

No issues.

1. Seatbelts and bezels.

2. Tried out my black Cobra shifter knob. I love both of them so much.

3. Shifter boot and bezel. Boot pushes it out of gear. If my hand is on it but not always and takes a little nudge.

4. I have a total of 40 test miles.

Still leaking oil. That I knew was a issue the manifold needs resealed.

Now it's leaking coolant. As far as I can tell it's from the second from the rear DS head bolt.

I put sealant on the bolt and torqued it appropriate. I used a recommend gasket ECT. I'm 100% sure it is a seal issue.

I think it's time to take it to the pros. Get it all sealed up. I know I can redo it all myself but I am sure I will just do it according to the last instructions I had and it might create the same results. The pros will do it right and make adjustments as needed and I can take it back if its still leaking.

I know that's why we put test miles on it, it still hard pill to swallow. I also figured I would have issues with the seals. IDK when the shop said I did such a good job when I had them do a 1st start and everything looked real good, I thought maybe I did it perfect. Lol

Next

Tinkering and adjustments untill it's titled and licensed. Major work is done. Jeff has all the heavy letting left for body, paint and final assembly.
