Okay, I've pretty muched determined that I screwed my original donor engine. I had settled on a '90 with an AOD, but I just towed home a '95 GT with a 5 speed manual tranny.
I'm thinking it will be an easy swap, tell me if I'm wrong.
1. Pull the screwed motor with the AOD.
2. Replace intake on '95 engine with the '90 intake.
3. Reinstall with the original wiring harness already in place.
4. Try to make '95 footbox work now that I have a clutch. If it wont, go to salvage yard and get another manual footbox.
5. Make sure the oil lines are in there proper place this time!
6. Fire her up!

I'm sure someone has something to add so please do.

I'm gonna start tearing this thing down tomorrow so give it to me!

Thanks in advance.

That sounds pretty good. You will also have to use the earlier distributor. I am not sure about the footbox though. Tom

Good move, I have an aod, I'm very happy with the leg room, more than enough. I'm switching to the 5 speed the brakes do need a power assist for the auto. I do love the auto, never a missed shift, the leg room and ease of driving. But theres something about the manual. Good luck Don

Thanks Tom,
I started tearing it down today and noticed the distributer right away.
Do you think I could use the '95 steering rack, I would love to keep the power steering on this one.

Rick,
The '94 and up Mustangs are wider than the earlier ones so I am not sure about the rack. I would try it and see if there is enough adjustment on the tie rod ends to narrow it enough to work. Tom
