Help

I've seen (2) different arrangements for the E-brake cables on the IRS cars - at the caliper end.

#1: In my FFR manual, it shows the parking brake cable sheath against the opening of the pivoting arm and the cable end secured by a slotted lug in the caliper. This arrangement means that when the E-brake lever is pulled, the cable sheath will drive the lever.

#2: In some other pics I've seen, the caliper end of the cable is opposite as described above. The cable sheath is retained in a lug on the caliper and the cable is attached to the pivoting arm.

I have a 1996 donor T-bird setup and the caliper/cable arrangement is as described in #1.

So why the difference? Different calipers from different donors? Any input on this is appreaciated.
