And your upgrade is to stop better?
or show quality?

The 15" wheel limits brake diameters a lot. I'm staying with the T-Bird disks for that reason.

Maybe there are good alternatives out there?

I have been researching this for the last several months and have come up wiht very little.

I did find out that aftermarket stock size rotors are available, but have found no solution to the ugly stock calipers.

However, if you want to run 15" wheels, then paint the stock calipers a nice color, and know that you will not have any fitment issues with your wheels.

For folks running the stock TBird discs in the back and stock 87-93 Mustang discs in the front, what type of master cylinder are you running?

Thanks,

Richard Oben suggests the 84 Jeep Manual unit. I bought one and it is a bolt up replacement for the Mustang. Number 10-1856 (rebuilt) or 20-1856 (Car Quest)

Have seen photos installed in other cars; looks good. Here is a thread that addresses this question:
Which Master Cylinder?
Here is a close up of the connections under the Jeep unit on an FFR:

Hope this helps. --LNJ
