Seems like injectors are a needed FAQ topic. So tell us everything you know about them. What sizes are needed? What are the color codes? Which years are interchangable? etc...

TIA!

And let's have some really technical stuff in there too! Would also like to hear relationships with fuel rails, throttle bodies, MAFs, fuel pumps, etc.

The flow rate is gm/sec and lb/hr in parenthesis. The resistance is obvious.
The manufacturer is next, I think ND is Nippondeso (sp?), I can't place DKK.
The part number is constructed as follows. All injectors carry a basic part
number 9F593, which is prefixed with a production release, and followed by
a revision/application code. For example E3EE-BA from the table will be
E3EE-9F593-BA to your local dealer. The tops of the injectors are color
coded, as a quick check to the technician to make sure an engine contains the
"same" injectors. I included some sample applications which may help the
dealer if you are buying new, or yourself if scrounging in a junk yard.
I don't know what was used for the density of the fuel. I typically use
0.79 (rounded up to 0.8 for "quickie" calculations), and I have seen people
use 0.775 for "racing" fuel.

There are two different types of injectors:

High Impedence and Low Impedence.

They are not interchangeable.

The Ford factory EEC systems use the High Impedence injectors.

http://www.msdignition.com/ Click on the blue button that says fuel systems.

You have to have an aftermarket injector driver, a modified EEC, or an aftermarket computer to run low impedence injectors.

Also, rules for supercharged cars are different than NA cars for injector sizing due to fuel consumption.
