Where is the best location for a Ignition Control Box, MSD 6AL, with Rev Limiter.

I'm doing a heater and would like to also sqeeze in a glove box if possible.

Any Suggestions.

I put my MSD 6AL on top of the passenger footbox. This leaves room on the firewall for wipers and heater. This method will also keep the area inside the cockpit for a glove box.
Many folks say it's too hot in the engine compartment, but I have 8500 miles with no problems to date using the top of the pasenger side footbox.

Mine is directly centered over the tranny tunnel up under dash.. this was a good spot for my carb as a few wires went to left side of engine and a few went over to the right side. Completly covered but still easy access if going to need to get to it in the future. Also out of the elements and most of the heat.

Top of passenger footbox (MSD6AL). It's been there for 21,000 miles without any problems.

Mounted my MSD box at the top of the driver's side "F" panel, with the MSD coil just aft on the 3/4" tube. Keeps the ignition wiring short & sweet.

Put our MSD6al on the firewall directly behind the engine. The MSD timing retard unit is mounted on the driver's side F-panal, while the retard control knob is mounted over the driver's footbox (i/s the engine compartment). All this seems to work fine.
