I bought some 3M Acrylic Foam Tape double stick tape made for auto trim work that is incredibly strong and would more than do the trick. It's about a 1/16" thick and comes in a large roll but not too cheap as I recall. I'll send you enough to do the cover if you'd like.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, folks. I know taking off the upper intake will give me much more room but I didn't want to resort to that if I could help it. (Not that it is hard, I'm just lazy.) I also thought about using a broken bit but I threw away my last one.

I was leaning toward the bonding (tape, silicon, etc.) because I thought it looked a little better.

Again, thanks for the suggestions!

No problems installing after engine install with a 390. Took 2 of us and we drilled some holes from the inside of the footbox...

Good luck,
Mike

Did everyone forget about their steering cover?

I sure did....

Borrowed a 90deg drill from work and cut a short bit.

Ooops :( I guess there is limited room for the dril now!!

I really like the double sided tape idea.

John,

Bob Mac does a very nice one that he sells as well. DO a search for his contact, you can see some pictures of what it looks like, too.

I did that too. I used an elbow on my Dremel and a cut off drill bit.
