That's not really a lie - it IS a Cobra kit - just not what you expected. I intend to use this to try out various paint schemes before deciding on "the real thing".
Note that this is only a body shell, so ---

- in true FFR fashion, it uses a Mustang as a donor! (Kudos to my wife for that idea.) My Cobra will use a '99 Mustang GT (see the 35th anniversary emblems?) that I bought from Barbie for a paltry $12.97 (Ken probably would have gotten more out of it). Very good deal, low miles, 17" (1.7"?) wheels - you could say it was NOS, fresh from the showroom (Wal-Mart).

I'll keep you posted on my build progress!

I got the body kit from Tower Hobbies http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p.pgm?Q=1&I=LXT602&P=7 for $46.99. It's made by Kyosho. Couldn't find a complete car; I think it's intended for their Mantis chassis, which Tower has parts for, but no cars. The body would probably fit on any 1/10 scale RC car.

yep, just making sure, i got that body already and have it sealed up until my car is finished, then i am makign the R/C one to match. I am putting it on a gas car so it should be cool!!
