I have noticed a howl/squeal comming from the left rear of my car, primarily when making a right hand turn. Nothing on a left hand turn. Sometimes when pulling away straight from a light. I did not notice it in my initial shake down which consisted of several trips around the block, making 4 right hand turns each time. Seemed to come up during my first initial long drive. I am thinking that the brakes may be grabbing. Any other theories?

Tire rub- your ride height may have settled some from your shake down runs.

If its more of a metallic squeal- could be brakes or the backing plate dragging if the axle has a little end play- Drum or disk?

It is disk brakes. I will check for tire rub, although I am sitting pretty high back there.

Howling - particularly in corners - is generally a symptom of a differential problem. Not set up correctly, wrong oil, bad bearings, etc.
