Is there any difference between these books? Is one an earlier edition than the other? I know that it was originally released earlier this year.

I've got the book, in the guise of that top picture.
Good text, a ton of high quality color photographs. It spends more time on evaluating buying used than I'd like, but that's probably because I am not considering that route.
Good stuff, can only help the builder or potential builder.

I picked up a copy myself. The top version, they do seem the same, same publisher for sure.

I had stalled doing electrical and thought spending another $20 might kick start me. The book has less electrical instruction that the FFR manual so no help there. It is based on a complete kit and did point me to the Ron Francis manual for the electrical...mainly I wanted to know my routing was going to work, I was worried I would interfere with the hood hinges...and with the combination of the FFR manual, this book and RF I still have no idea, go figure.

Nice color photos
A good read
Lots of info about cobra kit makers.

Anyone want to send me a color photo of how they ran the wires to the headlights/blinkers around the hood hinges...appreciated. :)

I bought the book a month or so ago. Looks like the top version. It's a good read, and learned a few things. A lots of great pictures. But it's no build manual. Use it as a resource, but not as a manual.

Vic -- If you run the front wiring harness on the outside of the 3/4 tube, and then cross over above the radiator, you won't interfere with the hood hinges. Plus looks cleaner with the body on. This is a picture of my Mk3. The wiring comes out of the harness on the PS. On my Mk4, it will likely come out on the DS, but same idea.
