I am in the process of trying to route my speedo cable. In your experience, what is the tightest radius that the cable can handle and still work?

Thanks,

Cai

mine is pretty tight. Just make sure you don't kink it.

I have the competition dash and don't have a problem with the bend right behind the guage...and there's not much room there.

As you can see, this one has a pretty broad radius:

Sorry, couldn't resist :D :D :D

Actually mine makes about a 6" radius, after entry into the dash area.

If you're running the stock set up , with the stock exhaust headers , the bend is pretty severe...and runs close to the pipes and to the back of the tunnel....you'll want to secure the cable to the side of the driver foot box , and cover the cable nearest the header with a heat reflector of some kind...I used a piece of 3/4" angle aluminum , screwed to the driver's footbox, and covering that portion of the cable...Soon after my first few miles , I noticed the cable sheath was melting from the heat.
