I just installed the rack extenders on my stock mustang rack. I was elbows deep in disassembled steering linkage, boots and such when it hit me that a few years from now when that fine rack blows a seal, I may or may not recall the slick extensions hidden beautifully under those boots. Might be a bit of a shock to replace the rack only to get all the bumpsteer back that the rack/inner tie rod extensions eliminated. Then comes the aggravation of realizing they are sitting on a bench at some unknown rebuilding shop after I blithely returned them to the store with the old rack.

Here is the solution I came up with to remind me in the distant future:

It's a small aluminum plate letter stamped "Save Rack/Inner Tierod Extensions". The ends are drilled for a pair of zipties to secure it under the hydraulic lines. Hopefully it's never needed--like many other things on these builds.

Good thinking! I like it!
I need "Post-It" notes all over my car, seems every time I turn around I remember something I had forgotten.

I just look for Blood. If there is blood then something was done closeby.
Also if car is ever stolen my DNA is all over the car.
