When I have been running for a while and the engine is warmed up and I stop and turn off the ignition it sometimes takes several cranks before starting. It starts immediately when cool. Anyone have this happen and what did you do to fix it?

I'll check again but I have a couple ground cables going from engine to frame and one from neg sid of battery to the starter mount bolt.

good ideas - don't use self-tap screws for ground; bolt THROUGH a frame member... sand (don't grind) paint or PC off frame... use copper washer under grounding strap between cable and frame...

I had the same problem. I had a bad starter...changed it and it starts like a charm cold or hot.

If you have good grounds, then it is likely either a bad starter, or you have the distributor timing advanced too far.
