My wife and I are driving down old State Route 315 along the Olentangy River here in central Ohio. If you are familiar with this route you know that it was just made for a Cobra. Anyway, we are driving along last Sunday morning and all of the sudden while navigating an ESS turn at about 70 mph I hear this horrible noise. It keeps up through the straight away and into another curve. I slow down and the noise seems to disapate. I accelerate and we come to a crest of a hill with a sharp turn that I didn't know was there until the last second. I down shift and hit the brakes... we make it thru the turn okay but that noise comes back worse than ever. I couldn't take it any longer I pulled over to the side of the road to see if I could do anything about it. After a short discussion with my wife I was able to fix the problem. I told her to get the hell out. The car ran great with no horrible noise problem the rest of the morning.

Oh that's good. You got me!

I don't get noise. I get beat on the right arm :D . My wife and I are driving down the road minding our own business and a Porshe 944 pulls up next to us and starts doing the accelerate/decelerate routine to get my attention. A 944? This must be a joke. Down two gears and I'm off like a shot and he's in my rear view mirror. Problem is, my right shoulder is getting pounded by a 120 lb woman :D . She doesn't get it but she's a lot a fun to have in the car. Besides, it doesn't hurt!

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone on this one. I've tried to explain it's more dangerous to beat on, and yell at the driver while they are trying to concentrate on driving, than almost any kind of street "play".

I wonder if Simpson makes a straight jacket for passengers that would match that harness?

The cure for that is ear plugs! We both use them so she can't hear me and I don't hear her. Hell, I don't even know if she's in the car sometimes.

I got half way through your post and was laughing thinking I knew what it was, i.e. exhaust noise, brake squeal, but when I finished I busted out loud. Too funny! :D
