Does anyone have any pics on what they have done to prevent the hood from opening too far? Must be some kind of hood stop fabbed up to prevent it from hitting when opened all the way.

What's it hitting on? Mine with the FFR hood hinge opens back and down from the lip on the body. The gas struts keep it from opening too far.

Hit what? I've got MKIII hinges and they seem to limit hood travel before it contacts anything.

If you rivet the end of the struts in the right place it will stop right where you want it to stop:

There's a couple of bolt heads sticking up for the radiator mounting that the hood clips. I may have to adjust the hood up a bit, but I thought that there may be something I was unaware of to avoid the issue I was having. Thanks for the feedback. I will check again on the weekend to see about making some adjustments.
