What is the 1 1/4" or so hole used for that is at the inside top of the drivers footbox?

Wiring harness or speedo cable?

Don't attach the top aluminum until all the wiring is in.

I blanked it off and cut a small hole in the firewall with a grommet for the speedo cable (Competition dash layout).

Mark Reynolds might have one you can buy, his cable ships with a nice grommet that fits the opening. His cables are very nice BTW.
