I need someone to measure the outside tire to outside tire width on the rear of a mkII. This is from the widest part of the tire on each side.

Thanks Vance

Doesn't this measurement depend on tire/wheel size? Perhaps you need to specify the tire/wheel package you want the measurement to be taken from.

No the reason I need this measurement is to set my IRS to the width that best fills the wheel arch without rubbing. I could put the body on but it is already painted and need to have car alignment done before the body goes on.

Doen't matter, the axels set the width.

Unless you did something custom, the best for not rubbing will be the Cobra R wheels which are 9" so that's 6.24" backspace. That gives you about 4" out to the fender max.

So, just set it to the correct camber. You can play with wheel backspacing and tire size (as some tires buldge out 1/2 inch or so, some don't) and make it like you want it then.

If you already have wheels and tires, then you are stuck with it.
