Hi guys,

I have a 351W with a dura-spark ignition module and an accel electronic distributor. Does it matter what kind of coil I use?

Thanks,

No, just make sure you have a ballast resistor to protect the Dura Spark module.

I run the Mallory 6AL no need for resistor. Consider using an after market module, atleast for the rev limiter.

As far as coils go. If your on a budjet and have a Ford TFI coil laying around, use it.

You can use many different coils.

I know a lot of the Mustang guys up here run a Blaster 2 coil with their durasparks- they also frequently ditch the ballast resistor, saying it isn't necessary.
