I need to document the use of the standard FFR roll bar setup in sanctioned Solo 1 (time trial) or open racing. My sanctioning body is trying to find a reason to give me an exemption to compete and I need to give them whatever evidence of competition use I can.

What I need are action shots and the date and name of the event and sanctioning body. A copy of any written authorization to compete or a contact at a sanctioning org would be good too.

Unfortunately, spec racer, dual roll bar or modified roll bar examples won't help.

You can e-mail the pics or docs directly to me at [email protected] , or post them and I'll grab them from the board.

Thanks for any help on this!

James is correct, it's on track use with the standard roll bars that I need to prove. I will send some pics from Run 'n Gun if anyone has some showing FFRs, but I really need to show something like the COMSCC or NASA events that have a recognized sanctioner involved. I've got some COMSCC pics from their site, but haven't found any from NASA events yet.

the NASA events most people run are technically school groups and have a low safety equipment requirements. solo I generally requires full road race safety gear. time trials are solo I, but not called solo I so they dont have to conform to the more rigid equipment required, IIRC. so i wouldnt think NASA school group pics apply either!

PS personally, after driving my cobra at laguna seca, i went and bought a real road race car. the cobra just feels too dangerous to me.
