Has anyone thought/tried mounting the heater in the trunk with water lines/wires in the trans tunnel and vents also in bell housing area. I'm sure there's some issues but with a completed car and empty trunk, I'm just wondering.........

Not a bad idea at all. Outlets could be along the trans tunnel near the floor. Might work pretty well. Sure would keep the area behind the dash and on the firewall clean. Go for it.

I like this idea, I found that with the tristate heater and a center mounted speedo dash layout there is a conflict. Rather than clutter the trunk how about putting the heater in the area where the battery should go.

Wonder if this could be used for fresh air venting also...

Toyota landcruiser fj-40 has a rear unit that sits under the center consol that you might want to take a look at. I don't know if that would work for you
or not. Spectre off-road has them in their catalog. Scott
