I had another great time at HAN. Even though it started with a new set of rear trailer tires before I left Portland. I then had a blow out on one of the front trailer tires about a 150mi out. I bought another tire and found out my spare was a 4ply(oh well its a spare). Another small problem was the friend that I was staying with moved from Reno to Fernley. I ended up putting 250 mi on my truck just commuting back and forth. But the cars and people were FANTASTIC. The best part was I have two more vette kills. The first was on friday at the dragstrip. A guy with a real nice and nasty sounding 60 vette challenged me. I said lets go and away we went. I blew him away and won by at least 2 car lengths. Then on saturday a young guy in a 98 black vette pulled in line behind me. Of course I will challenge him, and I did. I looked alittle closer and realized he was running slicks, not good. I decided to ask him what kind of set up he was running while I looked at his shifer which was a 6 speed. He said it was Lingfelder(or someting like that), again not good. Somebody told me that is like a Saleen mustang. Open mouth insert foot, I figured I lost this one. Well we line up and I got a good hole shot and stayed ahead of him the rest of the way!!! Don't forget Iam running roadrace tires.
I hate to say it but that was very very SWEET!! I also got to see the NORCAL group in the parking lot of the dragstrip--nice to see you guys again!!! Anyhow a great time again--
