GoPro 3 Coupe Exhaust

Hey guys I just picked up a GoPro 3 and I am psyched to use it on the coupe. I love having the ability to be able to turn it on and off through my phone. I have some great video ideas for the track and AutoX. The only thing that is lacking is the mic it sounds muffled and choppy. I have seen some corvette guys running with Audio Technica Mics between their mufflers underneath and its sounds great. Does anybody have any good ideas where to mount the mic to get the most real aggressive throaty sound without any wind noise? I'd be out there experimenting but the car is at Mark Dougherty's Shop having some work done.
