I have an appointment to see Apex Motorsports on Wed. morning (just after 9:00AM). I have no clue what I'll make. Any guesses? Here's my engine specs:

Note: rear end diff. is 3.55:1
Carburator was swapped to a Speed Demon 650 DP
just over 825 miles on the odo.

I'll go to 380 @ the wheels once she is tuned. Good Luck! Eric

Similar to mine and I am making 386 at the wheels and I have only revved to 5800 so far because I needed to replace valve springs.

So I'll say 395 rwhp

I just got back to from Apex. This took quite a bit of time to finish but it's done.

The first two pulls were pretty good:

#1: Max Power = 354.08, Max. Torque = 370.82
#2: Max Power = 355.97, Max. Torque = 385.25

The next two are odd balls. We could not get a good/consistent singal from the #1 plug:

#3: Max Power = 289.97, Max. Torque = 359.53
#4: Max Power = 297.19, Max. Torque = 364.38

The last pull was in essence, the 3rd paid pull:

#5 Max Power = 351.86, Max. Torque = 378.38

If you average out #1, 2 & 5 I come up with an average of:

HP: 353.87, Torque: 378.15 ft-lbs.

For just torque across all 5 runs, I get:
Torque: 371.672 ft-lbs.

If we toss out the highest and lowest torque readings, I get: 371.19 ft-lbs.

The printouts are terrible. This is a Dnynojet butthe Winpep7 software didn't give a graph I really preferred. I'll scan and post it later.

The colunmar numbers were missing on all runs but the 2nd and it was even missing RPM readings from 4500-6000 (my rev limit).

In a nutshell, I can say the torque curve was near flat after 3,000RPM through 5,2000, with peak appearing to be around 5200 before tapering down. It's a nice shallow arc. HP was a very linear climb to about 5400RPM.
A/F was averaging what appears to be about 13.4:1 (guessing based on what little info I got from the columns.)

Overall, this is what I was expecting at the wheels.

On another note, if you use a cosnervative (average???) 15% drivetrain loss, this calculates to 444.7 ft-lbs. of torque at the engine. This was more than what I was expecting but again, 15% is just a number. I don't know the "actual" drive train loss.

These numbers are strickly baseline and when Rod and company finally do the exhaust comparo, I can then guess on how this will affect my HP.

PS: I do have a video too. What was funny was on the first run, the moment the guy floors it, the AF probe comes shooting out!

Here's the video link:

Sounds great! So, there weren't any adjustments made?

Nope. This was tuned by a very good carb tuner; he used a high quality OPX(?) IR A/F computer. He set it to a 13.5:1 A/F across the entire power band.

Which reminds me, I need to email him to let him know the results.
