Remember the Turbonator/Tornado/Electric Supercharger scam a few years back?
Pretty much the same.
G-Force, SLR, and RS4 all seem to be the same product/site/company
- they just add an resistor in line to fool the ECU into thinking the intake air is colder than actual, which dumps just more fuel --- that's all. It could add a little power when your engine is lean.
I have a friend with an 06 Jeep Commander Hemi. He bought one off Flea Bay, brought it over to my house and asked me to install it. I showed him the blog and forum comments and laughed at him. I told him he's be better off blowing his nose in the $$$, he'd get more out of it. He had me put it on anyway. He says seat of pants dyno shows gains, mpgs are up and it cleared a CEL that's been nagging him. I never spliced the wires in, just velcroed it to his air filter housing.
