Finished sanding, polishing, and installing the doors just before time to leave for the cruise in at Thunder Road USA on Saturday night. The maiden voyage with the finished car was great! Everything turned out pretty nice and it drove great too. Thanks to everyone here who has helped me and given me inspiration along the way.

It feels great to know that it is now finished and I did 100% myself.
Here are a few pics....

I had a Cobra exactly the same color with white side pipes. I sold the car and later I realize how much I miss the car so my wife and kids said build another one. !What a wonderfull wife and family I have

I am building the FFR2282 and will be painted the same color as yours with same turbine rims.

I like the switches in the dash with the red covers. Where can i get that type of swithc/covers.
I undesrstand that those are used in airplanes.
Also what size tires do you have in front and back.
I am having to much trouble aligning the doors and hood. Also the body is about 1/2 inch more to the passenger side. so the tires and side pipes are not equal in both sides. But the windshield and roll bar are ok.
Let me know if you have any inputs.

Congratulations on your car.

Awesome job Tom! Mine should be out soon so maybe I can make a show or cruise over in GA. That way our cars will be reunited, ha. Doesn't seem like that long ago we were waiting on the same truck to arrive :D .

Wished I could say I did my own paint and it looked as good as your's does. You have a lot to be proud of.

That looks SWEEEET.
Wish I was a bit closer. It would make an awesome picture of the three together.
They have come a long way from this day.

Red switches with covers are from Summit $12 each
Fire Extinguisher is from Jegs $61 Red Aluminum Anodized- but it has a rough crinkle type finish.
Front 235/60/15
Rear 275/50/15

This is the look that I have imagined for many years, now it has become reality for me. The pipes are still the Duplicolor Ceramic paint. It has held up well for a year and some 500 miles during the build process. Maybe during the winter I will send them to Hot Shot for the real ceramic in WHITE. I love the white pipes against the blue.

That looks awesome. You should post the pic to the gallery and mention the white pipes in the title. I love the way the pipes set-off the stripes.
