Hi,

I just started building a MK III. I believe I have all the necessary parts to start except for a fuel pump. I am using a 4.6 out of a 2001 GT. Can anybody give me a tip on which fuel pump to use and where I can best install it.

Thanks,

Jan

Use the stock in tank pump. No reason not to.

Welcome!

I agree with Bob. What tank are you using? If you have a complete kit, the tank won't work with the 2001 fuel pump, in which case you need the same year(s) donor tank. But, if you have the donor tank, it should all be compatible.

Try posting this on the 4.6L Forum as well. Pictures also help with the questions.

Jan,

Welcome to the forum. Most builders us a mustang fuel pump, tank and fuel pump control module. These engines are returnless style fuel systems and the pump needs the control module to do that. Below are links to previous topics that might help. Visit the 4.6 part of this forum and post a question there.

Thanks Guys,

I have a complete kit and am looking for a pump for the tank that came with the kit. I'll also post it on the 4.6. part.

Regards,

Jan
