Painless harness, holley blue pump. Worked fine till today. Hooked it directly up to the battery and it works. Put a new relay in and it still wont work. Help!!!
BTW, the fuse is good and so is the relay trigger as the fan goes on and they have the same trigger.

i assume that you check the fuse... do you have power to the relay? with the key on does the relay energise? if not check for power to the relay from the switch. if you have power then check your ground. if not check your switch....mike

Fuse is good, it is carbed. Relay is hooked up correctly. Grounds seem to be good. The odd thing was that I was doing some work routing some wires and got the fuel pump wire in a nasty tangle. Could that have somehow made the inside copper tear? It is a big think wire so I doubt it.

Check for power on the output terminal on the fuel pump relay. If it's hot then you have a problem in the wire from there to the pump.

Do you have anything to shut the pump off in case of an accident? If you do check those. If you don't  you should have either an inertia switch or a oil pressure switch.

If you it worked before you worked with the wires, then that would seem to be the most likely culprit.

I am installing both a inertia switch and a toggle in the future when the car is being painted. I think the wire from the relay to the pump is the culprit. Now I have to rip the freaking harness out to replace it dammit. Oh well.
