Yes, it does rhyme

I am going to try and make my own fuel injection harness. Rather than cut up my stock Ford 302 fuel injection harness just to get the connectors that plug into the fuel injectors...I was wondering if I could use the MSD connectors below OR are these connectors very common? Can I just go to a salvage yard and cut them off a few Ford Escorts, Taurus, or similar???? How common are these?

Description: MSD EFI injector Weathertight connectors, pack of 8, race legal

Manufacturer Part #: 2400

Why do you need a new harness? I don't think I cut anything off my injector harness. Maybe just the Canister Purge...but the rest was very clean.

You'll also need the temp sensor plug that comes off that harness.

I might have an extra one in the garage...I'll check if you want me to...email me as a reminder.

Dan, I am "planning" on going with an aftermarket efi system, so rather than tear up the stock efi harness I'd like to try and make my own.

weendoggy, yup the main reason is I'd like to make it as clean as possible. Is a special tool needed to crimp those??

Are these connectors very common in other vehicles?
