Well I was cruising around on Saturday night and I hear what sounds like a metal bracket fall off my car. I was in traffic so could not see what it was. Everything continued to run so I though I might have just run something over. Well then I hear a similar sound? Again, in traffic. Well nothing seemed wrong with the car until I was visiting Bill’s on Sunday. He pointed at my front signal lights and informed me my bezels were missing. Damn, now I know what fell off.

I’ve loctited a bunch of screws on lights and things per past recommendations, but how do you lock this bezel on? It was just a twist on. Anyone else have this problem? I think they’re like $16.00 each (ouch), Maybe I’ll have to fabricate some out of an old coffee can …

Duane,

The lens and bezel look to be a press fit with the lens being the piece that quarter turns onto the body mount. Did you lose both the lens and chrome bezel or did the bezel pop off the lens? There should be a foam o-ring inside the body mount piece to keep the lens snug from turning.

Duane, this is the part I told you about last week. I lost one of mine. Another Cobra owner told me to silicone the lens and ring on. I found a lens/ring assy at http://www.britishcarpartsco.com/ located in Houston. $25 for the assy. There were reports that Finishline would sell the ring for $16, but a call to Enzo resulted in zilch; he wanted $50 for the whole light assy.

Lee, that’s right, guess I now have a good excuse for a cruise to check out the store you discussed. It’s amazing how they both fell off on the same trip. Siliconing them is a good tip for us to remember.
Todd, I twisted the lens/bezel onto the part attached to the car, with the black foamy gasket in place. It was just the bezel that separated from the lens and hence the lens is still there.
