Hi

Way too much money. Try to buy a wreck, get the same results and you don't care about the sheet metel anyway. You should spend about half of that.
Put the money into other things instead.

JUst my .02 worth.

good luck

Well my thought was to drive it for a while until I actually buy an FFR.

I also can get a free 93 convertible 5.0, but I would have to rebuild the motor/siezed, thats not really a problem.

A free donor and 3,000 for a crate engine - that is not a bad start.

My donor was an 89 Lx 186K running - no dings or dents $2200

I bought an 87 for 1800. Leaks a bit of oil, has high miles, lots of body rust, and goes like a bat out of ----! Perfect for a donor car! I am saving for my kit, I'd rather not have a loan. Meanwhile I am reading and learning and am in the process of getting all my parts together to re-build and soup up. I'm not really in a hurry, I am enjoying all of this. Like a whole new chapter for me. Lots of ways to get there, and I think this is one of those times that the journey is at least as important as the destination. Lots of choices. Good luck. Have fun.
