Ford Racing has taken the technology and hardware developed for the Mustang Cobra Jet Drag Racing car and created the ultimate 5.0L crate engine. With a rating of 500 horsepower, the new Aluminator XS is the most powerful naturally aspirated modular crate engine ever built by Ford Racing. Every Aluminator is hand assembled by the same technicians that build the Mustang Cobra Jet drag racing engines. Premium aftermarket components are used to ensure durability like Manley connecting rods with ARP rod bolts and Mahle® forged pistons. Unique components developed specifically for the Cobra Jet racing program are used including the billet gerotor oil pump, CJ short runner-high RPM intake manifold, 1517 CFM dual 65mm CJ Throttle Body, Competition High RPM pulse ring and 12 quart competition oil pan. Ford Racing Engineers developed a balanced combination of high end 500 horsepower and strong mid-range torque with the CJ short runner-high RPM intake manifold, 13MM camshafts and fully CNC ported BOSS 302 cylinder heads.

I had seen that but the price is pretty steep. I wish they kept the BOSS motor. I'm planning on daily driving my roadster and had considered the Aluminator route but I'll likely go with standard Coyote and put the Cobra Jet intake on it. I'd be able to afford two motors for the cost of this.

Hi Bill. It was a modular Coyote motor offered up till this year. You can see it referenced in the BOSS 302R Car specs here:
https://www.fordracingparts.com/download/catalogs/virtual/index.html#II/z

Here it is on the Ford Racing Parts Site:
https://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=12865

Ford had it listed for $13,599 but was usually $11k shipped from most vendors. It was basically a higher-reving aluminator with the heavier duty BOSS internals and BOSS intake. Here is a pic...

Believe it or not, Mike Forte talked me out of it based on my needs.

Sadly the new Aluminator XS motor lists for $16,495 which is $3k more than the Boss 302R motor.

I'm sure Forte can do better though as they usually have great pricing. The Aluminator XS sure is pretty though, which is why I'm planning on getting the same Cobra Jet intake and covers. I'm daily driving my car so the upgraded internals will be wasted on me. What I'm not spending on the Aluminator motor is going towards the Cobra Jet intake, a T56 tranny w/ QT Bell housing and external slave hydraulic clutch, Wilwoods, Hydraboost PB, ABS, and Torsen Diff (almost all of which is going to (or has gone to) Forte.

Hi Guys,
Yes, Chris bought a few pallets full of parts. As many of you know I sell Ford Racing engines and complete them to turnkey packages.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to send me an email for a quote.

BTW, Ron is helping me answer the phone and is posting some items here and on facebook. Soon he should be able to unload parts onto my much lacking website....

Hey Mike, just a heads up... The IRS isand Wilwoods are going into the car now and I'm almost ready to order the hydaboost and pedalbox mod for the T56 hydraulics. Then onto the motor. Probably a stupid question, but, are you guys able to get the Ford Racing Cobra Jet intake?
