Someone mentioned they got the Cobra R brake kit that Ford Racing has at Summit for $1600.00? I heard it is backordered big time. Is this true?
Plus on the Summit site it is over $1700.00, and I called around and everyone says that there was a price hike on the kit just recently? Just checking 'cause I need a setup for my FFR.....

The brake kit was $1700 when I got it 8 months ago, so I'm sure it's more now. Check with Mike Forte since he's a Ford Motorsport dealer.

$1750 @ Summit + freight

The B/O indicator didn't come up - so it's likely they have it in stock. Call them to be sure.

There is some funky business with the axles because they are a little longer than stock. Apparently this causes problems with wheel fit.

Onza is right on it.. Axles don't work.. you will need the ones from the 5 lug drum kit also available from Summit.. And then the caliper brackets from R. Oben..

Call summit on the kit I believe it is back ordered forever.. I had Motorsports tech do a search for me to see who had them in stock over a year ago and only 5 places had them. Something about parts availability for the entire kit was keeping the replacements from being shipped..

good luck If your going non-donor and you sell the parts you don't use on e-bay this is a good option.. but there are other options too....

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Ford Racing raised the jobber price again on the M 2300 K Cobra brake kit. It now sells for $1950.00. I have them available with free shipping at that cost. Don't blame me, it's Ford for the increase.

I used the M2300K brake kit, including rear axles and everything looks right. I am using 17x8 Bullitts all around so it may be a matter of which wheels and back spacing you are going with. I am glad I bought my kit last year at the lower price and I have not put the MC or Booster on eBay yet, so I don't know how much I can recoup.

I was able to get about $350 for the MC and booster on Ebay about 6 months ago. I even gave the guy the dust shields as a "bonus gift"
