Barry Grant has developed a new inline four-barrel carb. Initial applications are for the SBC, but all other engines will be developed.

Here is a picture of the setup for a SBC.

Prices start at $1,795

Wonder if he has an oval COBRA air cleaner coming for it? That would look sharp under my hood.

If you read the link, you'll find fuel distribution is nearly perfect compared to the standard single plane manifold with both short and long runners.

The cylinders have a more equal proximity to a venturi as Bill points out.

Front cylinders can also run lean during hard forward acceleration due to physics. The rears can run rich for the same reason.

The engine moves forward during the time the fuel droplets are suspended between the carb and the intake valve. The droplets lose momementum, the engine doesn't.

Same thing can happen during braking and cornering. Shortening the distance, or at least making all the distances more equal, would minimize that effect.

Having owned 3 Boss 302 Mustangs and having raced 2 this setup will be just as piss poor as the autoline inline carbs , but it does look nice.
For your GT40 do the webers or the electronic knockoffs.

It looks like a modern sexy version of the Autolite inline carb. But it seems from looking and conversation at the show that at least the manifolds will have better distibution than the Autolite manifolds. BTW there is even one for the LS series Chebbie motors. (sorry if this was what 2fast4U was speaking of as mentioned before)
