No. I wouldn't exceed 80 ft-lbs. I have aluminum wheels and that is what my manufacturer recommends.

I've used 75 Ft. Lbs on all our racecars for years and have yet to lose a wheel or snap a stud.
Never lubricate the threads on either the suds or nuts. They should always be clean and dry when torqued.

Have to agree with Randy,

I've got a torque wrench set for 75lbs...Strictly for my wheels (have a newer torque wrench for everything else)..............Anything more than this is overkill, and you run the risk of damaging the lugnut holding your rims on to your car.......
