How much fluid does the Tremec 3550 take? I know it is between 2 and 3 quarts, but not exactly. Also how do you know when it is full? Thanks for the help guys.

When it starts rolling out the fill hole is what I have been told. Biggest problem with this is that at that point, you have a whole funnel full of oil (been there, done that). There was not much left to the third quart though, so it is pretty close to 3 quarts.

Crash,

Here is a link to the Tremec 3550 Service Manual (hope you have broadband). If you look in the Specifications section on page 44, it says it takes 3 quarts of GM Synchromesh transmission fluid (GM part no. 12345349).

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the tips Tony. Check out our site www.roadhazards.com and you'll see why they call me that. Our stunt groups name is Road Hazards, that's where the name came from. Look at the pictures page then wrecks. That's my foot in those pics.
