i purchased a lot of parts a year ago so the mkIII
wasnt even out , i was wondering if the mounting
points have changed from mkII and mkIII the rack
bushings i have seem to be to long so either the
bushings are wrong or the mounting points for the
rack need to be bent. has any one else run into
this is it common . i have a mk III

I have the Atsco rack with the offset bushings from Tristates. It was a tight fit getting the bushings to fit between the ears; I ended up use a BFH to get it in.

My BFH is my friend. I did exactly the same as Fed.

I was told that the Mark 3 has the rack mounted different to take care of the bump steer issue. You may not need the offset bushings on a Mark 3. I have had to bend the mounting brackets out on both Mark 1 and 2 cars.

I've got a MKIII, Breeze solid bushings (came with 8 spacer washers), and ATSCO 6804 manual rack. It took four washers on each side to fill the gap.

my bushings are 1 inch to long i measured the
spacers that came in the kit and they are 2 7/8
my aluminum ones are 3 7/8 so now i know it is
not a frame issue. when i was at ffr they said
they only tack weld things in the jig then fully
weld them in a different area i dont know if that
is such a good idea.

Hi Steve,
I can machine them for you no charge. When you bought them the Mk III wasn't made yet.
