Took FFR #1507 to its first car show last night after finishing the interior. Just over 900 cars registered and I won the show promotors Favorite Ford choice. There were also 4 other Cobras there, a B & B, Lone Star, Classic Roadsters, and I think Shell Valley.
My wife and I were both very happy after all of my hard work building it and her waiting for me to get it done. The only bad part: My dad and I went to Massachusetts to pick up the kit in Oct. '98, 3500 miles round trip in 5 days, and he passed away 27 days ago. I wish he could have been here to see the award. Thankfully, I was able to take him for a ride a couple of months ago.

Tim,
The car show was at Automobilia in Old Town. It started at 2:00 and went to Midnight with a summer cruise down Douglas afterwards. The cruise doesn't last too long as too many idiots are doing burn-outs in their junk heaps. The police started redirecting traffic after 30-45 minutes.
I received a plaque about 8 x 11. I'll try to post a picture when I get one.
