Sounds like fun. Instruction will be provided for those who come and have never gone around a sea of cones. Cheers Richard.

I'm really interested in taking a trip in one of those Spec Racers. But first a few questions.
The most important one from the "Boss"...how much?
The others pertain to safety gear. I've got a helmet, but it is old and has the M90 certification. I don't have a fire suit.
My question probably make it obvious that I've never autocrossed.
Any additional info. would be helpful in talking the "Boss" into letting me have some fun.

It is my understanding that the spec car will only be available for the Autocross portion" of the event.
Autocross: is a little course lined with cones in the parking area of the track. It will emphasize skill and control not high speed.

IF you have never done this before, do not be intimidated at all! I bet the max speed you will reach on the autocross course will be under 50mph.

All that is required for the autocross part of the event "safetywise" is a helmet.

Sorry, I don't know if you can enter the "autocross only",,,you'll have to check with Leslie to see about registration, etc.

Just want to make sure you guys all realize that this event offers both, high speed track time and also the autocross. Everyone registered in the event will have the oppurtunity to compete in both.
Leslie has done a great job re-organizing the schedule for the event.

fly-n-low-

The Spec Racer will be available for $50, which gives you 4 runs on the autocross, and a instructor, if needed. I have helmets that are SA95-SA2000 that you are welcome to use.

Come see me at the Sticky Tire Motrosports trailer, and we will get you registered!

I just got a call from the Stewart Transport driver this afternoon. The spec racer should arrive sometime before noon tomorrow.

I am picking up the solo trailer with & all equipment in the morning.

Now all I gotta do is figure out how I'm going to get the solo trailer, the spec car, and my trailer/car to the track, AND get the solo course set up tomorrow night.

If anyone is arriving early, and would like to help,,,,,,, I could sure use a hand tomorrow afternoon (around 6pm) to set up cones for the autocross course. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Come on, someone has to be coming early. Alain is fun to work with. Besides if you set up the course you have a built in advantage. Cheers Richard.
