Anyone have any tips for installing the FFR soft top? Just got mine and thought I would ask before screwing anything up. Or even better, any websites showing their install? The hardware package has all the lift a dots and studs but there was one standard snap. Does it go on the two straps on the inside of the top. How does those straps work? First I thought they went around both bows but with only one snap? So I'm guessing you put the snap on those straps and pull the top down on one bow?

Jerry,
I'm installing a E.M. top "been working on it for a week" and I got some real good info from Matt Kennedy and David Ward. The EM top doesn't have the strap your talking about so I can't help you there. I'll pass on the instructions Matt sent me.

The EM top was my first choice. Had one ordered when they shutdown for restructuring. So I ordered one of FFR's. Not sure about the straps or the front U shaped bows the go on the windshield. I guess when you pull the top tight and fasten, that it puts enough pressure to hold the front pieces to the windshield. I did notice little studs on the windshield pieces that look like they go into the groove along the top of the windshield. But that would only hold the center down. I'd appreciate any info you have for either top.

Check ERA's web site. They have very good instructions for the soft top installation.

Thanks for the info. The ERA site looks like some good info. I guess the FFR tops work ok without the side windshield latches? From the pictures it looks like they roll the straps around the rear hoop and snap back to the top. Wonder why FFR only provides one snap for two straps. Checked their inventory list and only 4 pieces making one snap is listed. Thanks again

Talked to FFR. They're sending me another snap and latches for the front windshield channels. Not that big of a deal, but when trying to figure it out without all the pieces was confusing. Makes alot more sense now. Thanks again everyone.
