I have the FFR ignition key and am looking for a way to have my dash removable. Has anyone developed a disconnect plug. I was thinking about simple bullet connectors, but am concerned with the size of the sire and current that will be passing through them. Thoughts/ideas...

Kevin,
I fed the big wires to the ignition switch direct and left enough slack so the dash can be removed without pulling the wires tight. All the other wires went through 2 12 pin molex connectors.

Mike,

That makes to much sense... Why am I alway looking for the hard way to do things?

If you don't want to take a chance of damaging the dash vinyl by removing the switch (of course, how many times do you plan to do that?) you can use a high amp Deutsch connector kit from MSD. I used one of their four wire plugs to wire our '66 Mustang ignition switch to make it quickly disconnect without having to mess with the switch body or pull wires off of the back of the switch...

The connector in the middle is from the ignition switch...

HTH...
