I am about to order a FF5 MkII kit and had done a lot of research and talked to a lot of FF5 owners here in Phoenix AZ, yesterday I picked up the latest Kit Car Magazine and saw an add. on page 15 for team-c-racing and the kit they're offering. Seems as though they offer a lot of goodies that would basically eliminate a donor car. I am planning on visiting FF sometime around Aug. 28th and possibly placing my order but wanted to see if any of you guys have heard of this other kit or have any thoughts. Oh yeah, everyone I've talked to here in Phoenix loves their FF5. I'd appreciate any thoughts any of you may have on these two kits.

You don't need a donor with an FFR unless you want to go that route.

There is a lot of differences between the two cars, most of which would probably be best for you to figure out. (Not a smart ass answer, honest.)

Best reason to buy a FFR over any other is the community of builders, especially if you're a newbie. Lots of people to ask questions of and get answers from.

Oh, and here's a picture of a Mark II frame for you to compare against.

I'd put a "Team C" frame picture here, but there isn't one on their website that I see.

DPMAZ,

If its the kit im thinking of... I would not own one. I think its based on the shell valley car. Depends whats important to you. If engineering, handling are important.. stick with FFR.

My guess is resale would be better on the FFR also.

It sounds as though you have made up your mind on FFR, and I think you will be thrilled with it.

Good luck!

Thanks Dave, I believe it is a Shell Valley Kit that they are basing it off of, I have not had the opportunity to check one out though. Yeah I'm pretty sure about the FF5, just the support of the other FF5 guys on this site is incredible, I have been checking out this site for a bout a month now. I'm looking forward to traveling back east to the FF5 factory in a couple weeks, probably order one then.

Interesting....your MkII frame seems to be missing the rear 3/4" trunk hoop.

Mine has one, and it was delivered 4/1/02...didn't you just get your kit?

The trunk hoop appears to have been removed by tristate for the trunk hinges.

More pics when the trunk lid gets here.
