There was a group at LCS last year that was offering complete cars. But not conversions from what I saw.
Lots of power, no soul or joyful noises.

I haven't done an AC Cobra but I've converted other cars in the past (about 20yrs ago to be fair though) and I looked into how to do it recently for a '65 Mustang Coupe.

If there was room to mount it, the Tesla motor setup is awesome. I'm not sure there is though so you might need to consider a Ford Mach-e motor.

Most of the people I've seen converting fun cars recently seem to be taking stuff out of a wrecked Leaf and/or Tesla. The batteries is the big issue because they're so heavy and if you cut the weight then you can have issues with the distance you are capable of driving.
Sorry, so very wrong. Please find another car to screw up.
Shelby has to be rolling over in his grave! Without the sound of a big V8 and with an interior that is about as plain as anything I have seen, much of the sensory feedback which we expect is missing. Quicker yes, better, well most of us would think not. $185K is a lot of change and you better like what you bought because I don't expect there to be much of a resale market.

I always tell my wife and kids that I'd like to do a conversion like this someday with something like a '69 Camaro and then put speakers mounted towards the ground that play an engine rumble sound just to really troll people at the local car meetups.

Could do it with the AC... but it's expensive enough just doing a Coyote engine in it. If I was to go with a dual motor tesla setup I'd be looking at it costing me another 30-35k just for the motors, controllers, and batteries. It's even more than that if I wanted to actually use some of the racing motors you can put in-line because those things are $11k/each.

The thing is... I've been watching Netflix shows where they have a Tesla going against other sleeper cars and a super car and the Teslas just don't seem to work out as well as you'd think. I suspect that the cars are super fast off the line but that the 0-60 times Tesla posts are for a modified vehicle. Just like the GM EV1 COULD do 184mph BUT you had to modify the aerodynamics of the rearend and take off the limiter in order to do that. But man it was fast for a couple minutes.

I am putting a 2nd Gen Coyote and 6R80 into a 70 Mach 1, I have found out the hard way that the Coyote in not a cheap way to restomod a 1st Gen Mustang.

Misguided souls for sure. No one's soul is stirred by the sound of an EV,...
I seem to remember a few years back there was an EV build done on this forum. I think it was a Coupe. I remember they had an array of standard batteries all linked together for a power supply.

Not my cup of tea, but an interesting build for just what you can do with a Factory Five!
