Is the dual sump pan that comes with FMS crate 351's okay for use. I know one of Ford's stock pans won't work, but I don't know which one.

Yes, it is just fine. That is what I have on my 392.

That works, although you are sacrificing volume with that constricted center section. Also, it's best not to hang below the frame rail. We ended up building a custom pan that was a bit shallower to stay above the frame bottom yet increased volume significantly.
