Is there a reason why i cannot get the shifter bolts on the transmission to clear the 3/4" frame directly above the transmission mount?

Does it make a difference that i have a hurst shifter?

Try removing the trans mount and then put the shifter on.

Well, I ended up cutting the 3/4" tube out. Than I re-welded the 3/4" tube about 2" behind the original location. Works fine now!
