Hi you guys,
I'm in the finale phase of my MK 3 and have several problems, but at the moment only one. I've assembled the emergency brake as shown in the manual but it is in my mind not right. It is very close to the tunnel and leaves very little space to funtion. Am I doing something wrong here?

No it very close to the right side of the tunnel , it has to move about 3-4 inches to do it's job. If you can post a pic We'll be able to help better , Bob

Mine is real close as well but it functions fine. You cannot get your full hand around it but it works fine with the fingertips.

J,

On my MKIII I slotted the holes on the E-brake mounting plate, particularly the rear hole to move the handle out and away from the tunnel. Could you do that?

Did the same as Chris. You need to slot the mounting holes on the e brake bracket. Be warned this metal is hard, hard. I went thru a couple small rotory grinding stones when slotting mine.
Doing this gives you maybe additional 1/4" it can be moved out.
